This movie is quite the introspective look on character. What is amazing, and truly unique about it is that it's not near a black and white story. The persons in question are humanized. There is no evil person and no good vs. evil. The subjects of this movie are shown as human like the rest of us. They have genuine motives for what happened. Granted, I do not know much about the actual story it is based on, but regardless of that, from a film aspect this is a different narrative than the usual trope it may follow. On top of that, this is a beautiful representation of the powers of investigative journalism. A high school student that chooses to find truth against the powers of authority. For that fact alone, it is worth a watch in the environment we live in today. Fantastic movie. Extremely well acted, scripted, and down right provocative. I may even go so far as to say this is an HBO masterpiece. If nothing else. Please watch.
